The G2 Energy Division is led by Charles "Charlie" Welsh, Managing Director

As Managing Director, Welsh's embodies the views of G2 & Associates - that the role of market research is to provide timely, meaningful and actionable information and direction.

Charles Welsh recently concluded 13 years of service at Constellation Energy and its regulated subsidiary, Baltimore Gas and Electric.  Prior to his retirement from Constellation Energy Welsh was named Managing Director of Marketing Communications and Research for the holding company, CEG.  In this position he managed a corporate marketing group that provided market planning, research and branding oversight to the corporation and its business units.  Comprised of approximately 40 employees the group included marketing professionals, creative media, in-house printing and corporate records groups.

Welsh has been a senior leader of corporate marketing organizations including professional and technical personnel and creative teams.  His background includes the full range of marketing activities, including market segmentation, brand strategy and implementation, advertising, program design and database marketing.  Welsh has a deep background in marketing research based on years of experience in the design and management of quantitative and qualitative research.  He has proven ability in effectively communicating strategic plans and the implications of complex analysis to lay audiences in settings ranging from creative sessions of advertising departments to presentations for senior corporate management.  Welsh has direct experience managing media relations.

Welsh joined Baltimore Gas & Electric in 1995 as supervisor, market research.  In a series of positions that added marketing strategy and utility program and communication activities to his responsibilities, he was instrumental in redefining company customer satisfaction methodology to encompass corporate reputation and consumer experiences with utility transactions in such areas as billing, call center activities, vegetation management and electric and natural gas hookups. He and his team developed a comprehensive program of customer communications in an annual cycle that continues to guide utility programs.

Welsh is a graduate of Brown University with a BA in mathematics.  He has done graduate work at the University of Virgina in mathematics and business.  He is a past President of the Energy Marketing Research Council, a professional organization of research managers in the energy field and a twice winner of Silver Certificates from the Advertising Research Foundation, David Ogilvy Research Awards.

Holland Brown

Holland Brown has over 15 years of market research operations management experience in privately held and publicly traded market research firms.  While her experience spans all operations departments, including domestic and international call center management, her most recent responsibilities included management and oversight of the mutli-million member Harris Interactive online panel, HPOL, which logged over 1 million completed surveys per month at its peak during her tenure.  In this role Brown mastered the art of active panel management from contact frequency to panelist rewards and other interactions.

Brown holds a Bachelor's degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and completed Master's studies at the University of Georgia.
